The training course can also be delivered at your premises at any time.

There is a provision under The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005 which entitles employees to select a Safety Representative to represent employees to management on Health & Safety issues. This Safety Representative Course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to carry out the role of Safety Representative.

· Occupational Health

Pat O Brien Safety Ltd provide registered training instructors that are fully qualified trainers having achieved Level 6 in the national Framework of Qualifications. All course instructors are qualified safety practitioners and hold a minimum of Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Who Should Attend:

All those required to carry out the role of Safety Representative in the workplace or those who participate on Safety Committees. This award can also be submitted for component credit for the following courses:

Assessment:

Assessment is by means of a written theory exam; a skills demonstration and a short project which participants will be expected to complete in their own time.

Skills Demonstration: 20%

Examination Theory Based: 30%

Project: 50%

Course Certification

A Safety Representative Certificate is awarded to participants who successfully complete this training course.

Refresher Training / Certification Validity Period:

It is recommended that training be refreshed at intervals not greater than 3 years.

Additional Information:

DVD and lap/top projector are used. Extensive notes on Safety Representative are available to all participants.

Participants will gain more from this course if they familiarise themselves with their own Safety Statement in advance of attending the Safety Representatives training course.
