Pat O Brien Safety Ltd offers a Mobile Access Tower course, suitable for operators working in the Republic of Ireland. PASMA training is recommended for operators working in the UK and NI. 

CSCS and Non CSCS Training courses are also available on request.

PASMA (Prefabricated Aluminium Suppliers & Manufacturers Association) is the standard by which we gauge & implement our Code of Practices for Mobile Access Towers.

This is further endorsed in the Irish “Code of Practices for Access & Working Scaffolds,” by which the HSA takes its guidance.

Workers not involved in Construction should not have to adhere to Construction guidelines.

Introduction: Mobile Access Tower Course:

Course Objectives:                                                                             

This course is designed to provide delegates with the essential knowledge and understanding of current Safety legislation, allowing them to inspect, erect, dismantle, and move mobile access towers safely in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and statutory requirements, and generally to be more aware of potential risks and hazards.

• Practical building of mobile towers
• Types of Aluminium Towers
• Understanding Dangerous Situations
• Following Manufacturer’s Instructions
• Erecting/dismantling a Tower
• Working on the Mobile Tower’s Safety
• Movement of towers
• Examination and Assessment

Trainee Requirements

Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

PPE Requirements

Trainees must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with them, i.e., Helmet, Safety Boots, High-Visibility Vest, harness, and lanyard.

Who Should Attend?

This Mobile Access Tower training course is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn how to erect, dismantle and inspect Aluminium Scaffold Towers.

Course Objectives

To provide delegates with the essential knowledge required to use, inspect and store Aluminium Scaffold Towers efficiently and safely.

Training Methods

Presentation with slides, video, printed course material, demonstration and practical use.

Mobile Tower training is being provided by our Instructors who are approved trainers.

Practical & Theory Examination included.

All courses can be delivered on-site or at our dedicated training centres.

Requirements:

6 months of documented (Trainee Operator Logbook) on-site experience.

Duration: 1-day Mobile Access Tower training course for candidates with experience.  (The training day is typically 8.30 am to 4.30 pm)

Certification: On successful completion, candidates will be issued either a Mobile Access Tower card or certificate and card, depending on the programme chosen at the time of booking. Validity 5 years.
