Chemical Awareness Training: This course is designed to train participants on how to handle chemicals safely and effectively. Non-specialist staff who need to recognise, assess and protect themselves from chemical hazards in the workplace.

Chemical Awareness Training

• Identify the health effects of chemicals
• Identify warning symbols and read relevant product warning labels
• Use an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
• Identify and use different types of available PPE
• Introduction to chemicals
• List routes of entry into the body for hazardous substances
• Health effects
• Classification of hazardous substances
• Warning signs
• Risk Assessment and Control of Hazards
• Personnel Protective Equipment
