Our nurse-led interactive webinar will enable nurses, carers, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to develop or refresh the necessary knowledge and skills in Anaphylaxis and Basic Life Support (BLS).

You’ll leave the webinar with an overview of the skills required to recognise and manage life-threatening anaphylactic reactions as well as perform basic life support safely (includes COVID adaptations).

Course content includes:

Anaphylaxis

  • What is anaphylaxis?
  • Recognition of anaphyalxis
  • Signs and symptoms
  • Common triggers
  • Treatment and management: auto injectors and adrenaline ‘packs’

Basic Life Support

  • Recognition of cardio-respiratory arrest
  • The risks to the rescuer during resuscitation / using AED
  • How to perform basic life support
  • The role of an automated external defibrillation
  • The safe operation of an automated external defibrillator

Our specialist trainer will also talk you through practical demonstration(s) and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

All learners will receive a CPD certificate and downloadable handouts.
