Who Is This Course Intended For?

This 2 day PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) Refresher Course is intended for personnel who wish to maintain their certification to be first aiders in their workplace. Topics covered in the First Aid Response (FAR) Refresher Training Course include: responsibilities of a first-aider, patient approach and contacting the emergency. Personnel who wish to maintain the certification to be first aiders in their workplace.

The latest update from PHECC regarding out of date certs. If a cert is out of date between March 31st 2020 and March 31st 2021 the candidate is eligible for refresher course.

Accreditation

On successful completion of this course participants will receive a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) First Aid Response Certificate which is valid for 2 years.

Assessment/Evaluation

An assessment takes place at the end of the second day. There is a practical and theory element to the assessment. Participants complete a multiple-choice examination paper and undertake skills assessments. In order to be successful, participants must achieve a mark of 80% or greater in each element of the assessment.
